Breeding Protocol for Bovine

1. To lessen the harmful effects of genital tract infections prior to and at the time of service.

2. To increase the immune response of the animal.

3. To reduce, as far as possible, the colonization of certain pathogenic bacteria, viruses and toxins within the uterus of the cow and on the penis of the bull.

The Solution:

These objectives are accomplished by using Karbo Combo, which combines both the Epic and Karbo Formulas into one easy to use pellet form. When given daily cows will be more likely to settle on time and better use will be made of the bull without antibiotic therapy.

A combination of mannan and other oligosaccharides, encapsulated bacteria, enzymes, glycoprotein, natural vitamins, amino acids and glyco components. Provides all the benifits of Kabo flour and Epic II CL in one easy to use form. Begin supplementing in feed 30 days prior to breeding.
  • Block the proliferation of susceptible bacteria, viruses and toxins.
  • Stimulate the immune response to better handle pathogenic challenges.
  • Eliminate, as far as possible, latent infections before the advent of breeding.
  • Ties up various deleterious toxins that interfere with the well being of the embryo in the early stages of development
Suggested Levels of Karbo Combo to be fed to the bovine that are enrolled in the breeding protocol.
(Begin 30 prior to breeding)
Weight Karbo Combo Daily
600# Cows and Bulls 3/4 ounce AM & PM
800# Cows and Bulls 1 ounce AM & PM
1000# Cows and Bulls 1  1/2 ounces AM & PM
1500# Cows and Bulls 2 ounces AM & PM
Following Breeding, the following levels are recommended to protect the Cow and the Calf,
until the Calf is six weeks old.
Weight Karbo Combo Daily
600# Cow 1/2 ounce once
800# Cow 2/3 ounce once
1000# Cow 1 ounce once
1500# Cow 1  1/3 ounces once
